The Northern Sydney General Practice Network is a not for profit association that provides support and education to General Practice. The Network was incorporated on 7 December 1993.
The Network is one of 33 Divisions of General Practice in NSW and 110 Divisions in Australia funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA). Divisions contribute to General Practitioner participation in health planning and policy development, identify and target population health priorities at a local level, improve the coordination of health services in the community and improve the quality of general practice.
In the Network area, there are 343 GPs working in 83 practices in the local council areas of Mosman, North Sydney, Lane Cove, Willoughby and a part of Hornsby Ku-ring-gai [map]. The population of this area is 213,226. For the health status of the area, click here.
The Network welcomes membership from General Practitioners, Practice Nurses and Practice Managers from within and beyond the Network area.
